Downloading TiVo to a PC

Is it possible to down load from the TiVo box to a PC in the UK?

I see from searching on line, TIVO.com, that there is Tivo Desktop but this appears to be limited to USA, Canada, Aus & NZ. Does anyone know if this works in the UK? If not is there anything else or will VM be bringing out a compatible version?

Cheers

No, it's not possible. Even if you manage to get 3rd party software to connect to the TiVo all of the recordings are make as protected so the TiVo wouldn't allow the software to download any recordings.

No idea. I guess it would depend on whether the channels would want to allow it, which I doubt.

To be honest its not something the channels should have any say in at all. But of course they probably have the clout to pressure Virgin into doing something stupid.

As the channels hold the rights it well within their remit to say how programmes should be accessed
