Re: Brighton BBC One Region Change?

The need to do that on TiVo was known about, and messaging was placed onto the TiVo boxes for affected customers

However the V+HD box should have kept up, and that it didn't is being investigated

The customer news on TiVo stated that series links and planned recordings would fail.

However it also went on to say:

"Don't worry, you'll still be able to watch any BBC One recordings you made before 7th March if you recorded them using channel 101 BBC One"

This is incorrect. You cannot watch recordings made before 7th March as you get an error message stating that BBC One does not exist !!!!

"BBC region change (not switchover-related):
The BBC’s regional services are to change at Whitehawk Hill and its relays from 7 March 2012
(DSO 1) when the previous ‘BBC South’ service will change to ‘BBC South East Today.’
The Meridian sub region will remain unchanged."

Unhappy Re: Brighton BBC One Region Change?

We live in Worthing and now have BBC South East which is totally irrelevant to us. I have 'phoned and mailed but cannot get Virgin to let me know if this is permanent. Anyone else had any luck

As Worthing is part of the Brighton cable franchise you are connected to the Brighton cable headend. Due to the way Virgin's infrastructure works, programme variations within areas is not possible. The official response from Virgin is HERE. Virgin can add additional channels in the 850/870 ranges, but this may not happen until after DSO has completed.
