Series Link Location Location Location

I have a series link set for "Location Location Location" on Thursdays Ch4. There appears to be an error with the data for this weeks episode, the series link isn't picking it up, but go to the EPG listing and it appears to be a "new series" so far as the V+ data is concerned. I dare say the +1 variant is also the same. I've given it a few days to see if it sorted itself out, but this is only 3 days of listings away now...

I would normally have posted this on the VM support site, but reading between the lines of other posts - there's not much point at the moment.

If the series link was set on an earlier series then it won't pick up the new one. A V+ series link is literally a link for one series. You should delete the old link and create a new one.

TiVo is far more liberal in its definition of series.

But that's the whole point - this is an existing series, it's just that the series link has changed mid-series. For what it's worth, the episode in question is part 4 of 8.

This has got nothing to do with how a TiVo box works in relation to a V+, and everything to do with duff EPG data.

Postcode is BS37. Fed from Aztec West historically, although I don't know if that's still the case.

Sorry if my previous response sounded harsh - but I've had a few problems with fault reporting people in the past couple of days where I've gone out of my way to eliminate the obvious - have spoon-fed them everything they need to prove a specific fault (on a product that I used to support network-side), and got given the runaround by staff who were clearly reading from a script with no actual understanding. Back to theory about having your account flagged with a "this customer knows what they're talking about" marker.

So it wasn't personal... and I do appreciate the response.

Well I've just tried to report this as a fault with your CS people, to be honest - as much of an experiment as anything.

During a 10minute call, she rebooted the box remotely, and checked with second-line. Then booked a tech visit for tomorrow afternoon. At no point during the call did they ask me what series or program was affected. Not a clue!

It was reported to the listings provider yesterday, but I haven't heard back whether they have updated the link.
