Tivo and/or V+ ?

I currently have the XL TV package with an SD box. I wan't to upgrade to V+ but I'm also looking at a Tivo box.

1. Are the Tivo boxes HD or do I need and HD box too?
2. Is the Tivo boxes any good or am I better buying my own PVR?
3. If I only upgrade to HD besides the £20 installation are there any additional monthly cost?

Don't have a V HD Box?

For just a £20 quickstart installation fee, you can upgrade your current V box to a V HD box with free HD activation.
Sorry if this has been asked before, the forum search doesn't like keywords like HD and V+

Re: Tivo and/or V+ ?

1. TiVo boxes are HD.
2. 3rd Party PVRs won't work properly on Virgin Media as they won't have the EPG
3. For the V HD box there is no additional monthly fee. TiVo costs are different
