Dropping HDMI output

Our V+ box has started dropping it's HDMI video signal.
Our TV has two HDMI inputs so i tried swapping them over for elimination purposes and it seems that the V+ box is the culprit. Reeboots do not solve the issue so does the V+ box have a fault.

I also made sure the HDMI connections were good and even tried another cable
The sound is ok as this continues to be output from the optical out of the box.
It drops the video signal then rectifies itself about 5 seconds later.

This has only started happening today but does it regardless of which channel we are watching and recorded programs are also affected with intermitent dropouts.

Thanks.

Re: Dropping HDMI output

I mainly use a SD TV not connected via HDMI, but have an 24" WS HD monitor connected up so I can watch certain progs in HD. Occasionally when I switch the output of the V+ from RGB to HDMI, I get the symptoms you describe. I simply switch back to RGB and try again, and eventually it sorts itself out. Perhaps even just switching to a different HDMI mode and then back again might work.
