Recording Tip
Whenever you set up a new Series
Link, it’ll include padding, so that the
recording starts 1 minute before the
show begins and ends 4 minutes after.
You can change these times in
Manage My Series Links

It would be nice if you could change the defaults though so you didn't have to go back and edit the recording settings, especially if the "express series link" option had been used.

Hi Ken,
It sounds mad but if you set a remote TiVo recording it sets no padding!

Just edit it in Planned Recordings...
Then when setting up a single record, go to Explore this show, Record This Show and then options. This will allow you to have zero padding.

Thank you.
I have changed the padding to zero using the procedure you have given.
It is a shame that the TIVO cannot be set to zero padding as a default as in th V+ box rather than having go through and change each planned recording to zero.
