I think Virgin do not want Premier Sports on the XL pack due to:

Premier Sports was formed in 2009 by the Irish businessman Michael O'Rourke, a joint CEO and part owner of Setanta Sports and director of Premium Sports.
The channel initially focussed on broadcasting sporting events which had not been available in Great Britain since the collapse of Setanta Sports GB on 22 June 2009

I wouldn't have thought that the failure of Setanta would affect this new venture.

Btw, did any call centre staff notice any increase in calls made requesting a better deal today?

On last nights Superscrimpers on Channel 4, it said that 52% of people subscribe to pay TV. It went on to say that 78% of Sky and 72% of VM customers had managed to negotiate a reduction in their bills and/or some freebies.

i aint going anywhere matey,But will be reluctant to sign another 12 month deal when this one runs out will only be a rolling contract for me for the forseeable future,Tivo should be a huge threat however in vm`s hand maybe not.The constant coming soons have become very tiresome and the lack of new hd channels cant always be down to sky ie disney`s and universal and stopping us using the tivo commander whilst the official is not out,could be months away is plain crazy,Especially as sky will have android app out for its impressive sky go.Personally i dont use vod,But a once bragged about service is started to look worn with the like of sky now annoucing very soon you will be available to access the service from any broadband provider,If they dont watch out i am frightened to say vm could just become a broadband and phone provider several years down the line

Could not agree more and unfortunately, I can also see VM ending up as a BB supplier, unless there is a radical rethink.

l think you and howard are over-reacting as apart from a few more HD channels and Sky Atlantic what have Sky got that Virgin have not but sometimes but then again its very easy to be seduced by the dark side and the influences of Muppetman.

VM must up their game now or it will be to late , no more coming soon, we need to see some bold action now on the TV side of the business.
