Re: how to

Just a quick post whilst I sort out a more up to date set of instructions as the post link Andy has provided is out of date and there is no need to mess around with your HDMI settings Wheelchair. If any one else has an up to date guide before I come back please feel free to post it,

Re: how to

Here you go, direct from the instruction manual. Page 11

http://shop.virginmedia.com/content/...V%20HD_LR2.pdf

Copy programmes to your VCR or DVD recorder
1. To do this, press , select V+ Extras, choose Copy to VCR/DVD.

2. Highlight the shows you’d like to record and press to select them. These will appear on the right of the screen. Press once you’re done.

3. Make sure your VCR or DVD recorder is connected to your V+ HD Box by the scart lead (the connection is marked VCR or VCR/DVD).

4. Put your VCR or DVD recorder into record and press on your V+ HD Box remote.

5. While the shows are being copied, you’ll see a red bar showing your recording progress and the shows are locked so they can’t be deleted.

6. If you need to change tapes or discs, press to pause and restart the recording.

7. Press to stop copying.

The transfer is in real time so you may wish to let it do its stuff whist you get on with your life as it is a tad like watching paint dry.

Re: how to

thanks mate, my wife bought the dvd recorder a few days ago as a present, I was reading the instructions while my wife set the dvd to virgin v+ box and the t.v set and they all worked ok individuly, but trying to get the DVD to work with the v+box just hasn't worked. I had a few replys about the set up from some of the Forum members. I have a Toshiba TV a VIRGIN V+BOX AND A LG DRT389H DVD RECORDER I must be doing something wrong but no matter what I've tried I can't get them working.I don't no if i'm a bit thick but I can't grasp the answers these good people gave me. any more help will be appreciated thank you all.

Make sure you set the input channel on the DVD recorder correctly, usually L1,L2 or L3

Re: how to

Wheelchair can we backtrack? Have you connected your V+ to your DVD Recorder by a scart cable and have you checked that the socket you are using on the V+ is the one marked VCR?

Re: how to

You need to transfer a recording off the V+ to the Recorder before you will see anything. Do you have something on the V+ that you have previously recorded?
