New TV I'm looking at has built-in Cable tuner?
New TV I'm looking at has built-in Cable tuner
Does that mean I can plug separate cable spur into it and get free to air cable channels?
It also has free view tuner so maybe stick to that?
P.S. also has internet input - could I use that?

Generic models, in some countries in the world you could add a card via the cam slot to access the local cable network.

Re: New TV I'm looking at has built-in Cable tuner?
I'm sure this thread is about a television with a built in cable tuner. As such I suggest we all get back on topic

Re: New TV I'm looking at has built-in Cable tuner?
Various European countries use DVB-C as their main TV service whereas we use DVB-T/T2 (Freeview/HD) so Samsung only have to change the plug supplied and not another version of the TV.

Not particularly a cable tuner as such, these sets usually tune through broadcast Bands I & III (VHF) as well as Bands IV & V (UHF). These bands are stiil used for broadcast TV in many parts of the world.

Re: New TV I'm looking at has built-in Cable tuner?
Indeed. Like in the US for example, where there are many cable providers.

No, these TVs specifically have a DVB-C tuner. My Sony TV has a DVB-T2 tuner and a DVB-C tuner built in.
