Re: Virgin Media TiVo iPad app
I got that when I fist set it up, I had to press ok and it did it four times, then it just began working, I know it sounds stupid but a reset of the TiVo and the PC seem to fix any problems I've had with this app!

Re: Virgin Media TiVo iPad app
Mate you really need to develop a sense of humour, clearly no one knows how to resolve your problem, or the person that knows has had a chance to reply to you yet! I have had a fair bit of experience with the TiVo from VM and trying to make it do stuff it isn't supposed to, I have not come up against your issue before which means its fairly unusual! As such anyone who could help you will need a lot more detail than you have provided! ie you're operating system, network setup, iOS version, TiVo app version number, whether you're using a VM super hub! Then develop some humility, if you want help that is, because the person who can help you will read all the posts and assume you're a jumped up little oik who doesn't deserve their time or effort!
People were having a laugh with you, you took it the wrong way and now you're making out worse, chill out!

I'd normally use a swear word at this point, never mind.

Mmm had this app working yesterday but now the app refuses to see my Tivo
Rebooted the Tivo, rebooted PC but nothing works.
Shame as it was really cool.

Tried that - still the same.
Wierd as everthing appears OK. The bonjour service finds the Tivo OK but the app refuses to find it.
Any other suggestions welcome.

Me too. I've just changed my router (to a TPLINK 1043) - could it be incompatible?

Because your TiVo is wired, and the iPad wireless, it's up to the wireless router to bridge the traffic between the two networks. In particular, the discovery protocol relies on multicast which may get blocked - or equally, there may be a setting on your router for it.
Do you have the latest firmware? It mentions "improved multicast function".

ok, weird. It works fine on my laptop, just not on my desktop! all on the same network. why be this?
And finally... I also can't access my shared itunes library on the desktop but can on the laptop.
ok, never mind. I restarted the bonjour service and all is well with the world again! thanks for all the help there!
