Re: Virgin Media TiVo iPad app

Hey,

Can you post the latest source for this and I'll port this to a native iPad/iPhone app. Probably will have to be deployed as a generic bonjour forwarder to ensure it isn't generic, but should certianly work as a background app.

Try browsing upcoming recordings or season recordings while watching a recording or live TV using a remote.

On the app your viewing isn't disturbed

I have done. It's quite impressive, but without the ability to use it outside the home (I.e. So you can make remote recordings on a per TiVo box basis) I find it a little pointless...

That is quite nice I'll admit, and it's faster than using the menu system on the TiVo box - I guess I must have just hyped it up in my mind too much :p

That's something I miss from the S1 TiVo. You could set recordings using tivoweb. Hopefully the app will be developed so it gets even better.

Re: Virgin Media TiVo iPad app

Hi guys,

Just registered to CF to say a big Thanks to sn00p for creating this great little app and all other that posted info.
Work a treat using updated Tivo box and updated Ipad Tivo app

Things to note:

* Should work, although because I'm away from home, I haven't actually tried it on a real box.
* Should be fairly stable.
* Will continue to show boxes that disappear off the network.
* You can rename a box by double clicking on it and entering the new name.

Presume you are not referring to the US Tivo app

Think with the Tivo update some third party app no longer work, we was just lucky the the US tivo app was update to counteract what virgin did.

Did you know the the US Tivo app as a remote control screen, and the little app that sn00p created makes life very easy connecting to the Tivo

Hope this was some help
