Not sure what percentage of virgin customers live in areas that can get broadband/phone via cable but not digital tv services but anyway I feel this thread is relevent.
If vigin could offer some form of IPTV this problem would be solved. We could log into a TV webpage and stream live our TV channels (like iplayers live streams). For those who dont have pc plugged into tv a small videobox that plugs into router and then TV would work.
Instantly virgin get more Digital TV customers, so more tv subscriptions and more $$$
Would the cost outweight the income? If they implimented p2p tech it would reduce their bandwidth overhead.
Or will this never happen due to stupid rights/copyrights owners?
