Interference

Anyone else getting interference in the Peterborough.
I keep getting spots like you used to get in the analog days when an electric motor was running, then the picture goes off and on.

Re: Interference

I would call technical support on 151 from a Virginmedia phone line or 0845 454 1111 from any other phone line and an agent will run some diagnostics with you to see if the is an issue with either the box or the connection.

Re: Interference

Have you established that the interference is being caused by the STB?

Have you tried to see if the interference is still there from another source on your TV, such as a DVD player or the TV's own digital tuner?

Could be electrical interference from an external source?

Re: Interference

Interference to the STB would normally cause pixelation (when you get squares not spots)

From your description it sounds like direct noise to the TV itself normally by a cars ignition, electric motor...etc...

Re: Interference

It's the normal thing, since last night it hasn't happend.
I tried on other channels not going through the STB and it was not there.

I agee that what I thought at first, but it wouldn't make the picture go off and on.
