If those channels were playing adverts every 3-4mins which is what you get when you're watching music on demand then I think people would complain about them too.

Re: Adverts on Music on Demand?!
This has been confirmed as a fault.. it was not meant to go on to Music On Demand, just some TV Choice.

Re: Adverts on Music on Demand?!
The email response I got doesn't sound like it was a fault:
Dear Ian, thanks very much for getting in touch with us, we appreciate hearing feedback from our customers. The use of ad spots in the music video section of the on demand service is part of a test that we announced a long time ago. We will of course consider all the feedback we have received, both positive and negative, and determine how best to address this issue going forward. Please rest assured that we take all customer feedback seriously and we value your loyalty.
Thanks and regards,
Cindy

When we first started getting complaints, it was assumed by some that it was part of the roll-out of ads on VOD, this was later corrected and the statement from VM internally says that it was not intended for MOD.
This was quickly rectified on Saturday once the error was apparent.

Re: Adverts on Music on Demand?!
Had an e-mail from Complaints Team this morning saying it was a "Technical Error" and that they were sorry that I was not happy with the adverts on the On Demand Services. Too right I wasn't happy, there are only so many Coco Pops adverts one can take.
The e-mail went on to say that they have been running adverts on Selected TV Choice content, not seen it there, but then again I have only watched BBC programs from there and they are ad free of course.
The advert thing on VOD is pointless anyway as you can fast forward past them, so why bother?

They generate income and help to fund more content. The next logical step would be to make the ads unskippable or the advertising income will dry up.
Adverts are needed, otherwise the price of the packages will have to go up I guess.

Not quite correct. We've been getting Coco Pops with BBC VoD too.

Good. Let them.
If I buy a can of beans, it doesn't come with ads for some other company's products. When I open that can, I don't have to sit through ads for yet another company before I can get the beans out. And I don't have suffer yet more ads when I've eaten them. Just decide what your product is, offer it and price it as well as you are able, and let the customers decide if you've got it right.
Bad pun alert: just offer a product that does what it says on the tin!

Re: Adverts on Music on Demand?!
I have a Reebok advert showing on some Music OD videos, is this a fault or intended?
