New Samsung V+ box
Hi,New here so if I`m going over old ground please bare with me.Of late I`ve got a new Samsung LED tv and cinema set up but the only thing that looks wrong is the grey VM box a nice new Samsung would look great. However the nice people at VM the other side of the world want £49+£15 delivery plus extra monthly charges and I fit it myself and then no guarantee its going to be a new style box.I`ve seen,on eBay these boxes up for sale and wondered if one would work on my existing VM package using my card I have now?You see I only want it for the looks as the only tv watched in our house seems to be the CSI type.Any views??????

Re: New Samsung V+ box
You cannot use any box that you buy from Ebay as they can never be added to an account by Virginmedia as they are listed against another account, plus at all times they remain the property of Virginmedia so you would actually be buying stolen goods, also as we are in the middle of swapping all smartcards again they will never work for that reason alone.
If you order a V+ then you will only get the model in stock at that time and no one can guarantee a specific model.

Re: New Samsung V+ box
If you have it sent, you will get a Samsung as the SA are very heavy and large to post.

Re: New Samsung V+ box
If thats the case why does ebay allow such "stolen" items to be offered for sale?

That is between Ebay and Virgin Media, but any box bought on there is just going to be an expensive doorstop as you can never get it activated.

Re: New Samsung V+ box
I wonder how many of these 'V+' boxes for sale on the likes of ebay still have the HDD inside too

In the same way there's loads of dodgy stuff on eBay, people list it faster than eBay can take it down.
Masque is quite correct, buying a box off eBay will be a waste of money as there is no way, legal or illegal, to make it work.
