I mind paying extra why should we have to pay extra for the sky basics that's what taking XL gets you.

I do not think we will get them for nothing l would like them for nothing but l am afraid sky are greedy when you have this type of pervasive influence they have l will never join them not even if they offered me free tv for the rest of my life.

Because a date hasn't been announced - yet, then I'd expect it's business sensitive.

Exercising patience is not a bad thing, besides, we're not kids and it's not Christmas! We're watching HD channels now as if we've always had them and there was a time when we were holding our breath for them, so any new ones will come in time.
Besides, what would you rather have? A couple of HD channels now and a red button later - who knows that they're not planning to do it all sooner, before the intensive marketing in the run up to Christmas...

What is so special about Sky One HD to make people pay on top of what they already pay for XL which already includes the SD version.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2010) Vol. III
I do think VM viewers get the raw end of the deal, was round my Brother's yesterday who has SKY HD and they certainly get alot more HD content. I like the way their TV Guide highlights programs that are actually HD. Saves pressing i on the program to check if it is actually HD or not!

Surely that's a comment on the channels rather than the EPG?
What I mean is that I can watch BBC HD, Discovery HD, NatGeo HD and not have to worry if it's HD because all of it is.
To have to build a thing into an EPG to highlight whether it's HD or not means that some channels aren't that good with HD content
And anyway, if a programme on an HD channel isn't HD, there isn't much you can do about it! You really not going to watch it just because it's not in HD? So again the highlight HD programmes seems to be a little redundant

Ben, that is right but unfortunately we have alot of the same channels Comedy Central HD etc that shows non HD content. I just thought it was a nice touch thats all. If it isn't in HD I'd rather watch it on the non HD channel so it fills the screen!

Lots of people moan about Virgin on here , me being one of them from time to time but Sky make things difficult on most occasions.
