Issue a press statement and send out an email to customers at the same time would at least send a message out that they care as much about thier customers as they do the press.
As ive mentioned before customers pay the bills the press dont. (although of course publicity they offer is good for virgin)

I will never post anything on here with regards to Virginmedia ahead of the release date as it would be business sensitive information and I could lose my job so it is not worth it.

I was just making the point how virgin might reduce the grief by at least putting customers on the same footing at recipients of press releases.

They could be a genuine reason as to why these Sky Basic Hd channels aren`t here yet,However yet again lack of info is frustrating.It`s a case of sit and wait,Hopefully very soon

Your missing the point. If virgin thinks it fit to issue a press release to the press why not offer the same news to thier paying customer at the same time.
So far no one has offered a single reason why this couldnt be done.
Without paying customers there would be no virgin media.
I am open to being pursuaded but no one has offered an explanation.

I can think of one reason and thats they are concerned too many customers might phone an ask questions which of course uses up resources.

Press releases aren't just for the press, they are for customers too.

And as Ben says above... there is a news section for Virgin Media customers already, within My Virgin Media.

On my validation option (3rd one down) its says I have errors detected but with 4 green buttons underneith

You shouldn't actually see the Validation option. It was there for testing purposes only
