All down to personal viewing preferences I guess. I'd much rather have SSN HD than ESPN America HD anyday.

Any channel that is heavy with text will always be a big improvement when in HD. Personally I don't watch SSN but I can see how much better it would look in HD. Text on SD channels on a HDTV never looks particularity nice.
I am guessing that VM announcement above pretty much confirms that there will be now SSN HD on Monday otherwise I am sure they would be saying call to upgrade to M+ or for HD subscribers SSN HD will be n the XL pack?

I cant see us getting SSN HD on Monday - Sky payed alot of money to make them adverts about Exclusives etc. And wont back down. I recon we will get it In January 2011.

Never understand why Tight Lines on SKY Sports is filmed in 4:3, i suppose that when I have it set to 1080i wide on my V+ box it makes the anglers catches look even wider

Based on what mate? Not trying to argue, say you're wrong etc., just intrigued as to what you're basing this on?

Everyone has a view, but at least ESPN America shows live sport, not just highlights,so give me ESPNA HD every time.

I agree with you so I made a complaint to VM and also made a topic on their forum http://community.virginmedia.com/t5/...ls/td-p/115313
And I contacted MTV via their site and at least I can say I tried

Well I'm not convinced that American stuff qualifies!
My point is that while I don't care about ESPNA HD personally, I still hope it comes as I know it will make people like yourself happy. Plenty of people want SSN HD and at the end of the day the more HD choice the better as far as I'm concerned
