Re: Who's signed up to sky hd channels?

When you phone you will need to give the VM Advisor the serial number of the box you want the HD channels on, so if you have more than one box you need to go to the box you want the HD channels on and do the following

Settings
Techinal
Then locate your card number which is 3 lines down.

No I meant, there is nowhere to enter the serial number on the website - does not say.

Re: Who's signed up to sky hd channels?

As I am away for most of August I shall try it in September. But I have my doubts as to whether it will be worth it.

I had been with Sky for years until April this year and the comparison on SD channels is emense,Virgin are far superior.

The downside is I feel the HD channels on offer so far arent that good(picture quality).

With Sky the sports channels are very good in HD compared to SD and I am not convinced virgin will be as good. They will have to be much better than is currently on offer to warrant paying extra.

Im not sure whether its the upscaling on Virgin that makes HD look average or Sky quality on HD appears to be far superior.

The V+ box does a far better job at upscaling than the Sky HD box

I totally agree,I have both and the upscaling is a million times better on the V+ box.Been watching the wwe on Sky Sports HD and the picture is awsome,Just hope VM manage to get the quality. But got to say checking both for quality of HD channels and the skyHD+ box does have the edge.
And doesn`t eat up space on box like VM boxes do!!

Really? I phoned up last wednesday and didn't have any trouble. Downgraded my BB to offset the extra cost which was done instantly and the guy I spoke to said I could phone up after launch for the sports HD channels or he could set it up to activate on the day. To save another call I said to set it up straight away and he said it was all done and I got a confirmation email a bit later on.

Hope it is really has been done. Find out soon enough I guess.

Thyroid Help can only hope to improve
Re: Who's signed up to sky hd channels?

I am, having sky HD in the past, I know what I have been missing. Sky ****ed me off due to their crappy relations. Hence the reason I came to VM, initially I was not impressed but they seem to be pulling out all the stops to impress me, and it's working..

For the people who are wary about the worth of the HD channels, they are totally worth the price IMO

30 ish hours to go, although I won't be up at 6am Monday morning more like noon
