Expanding with V+

I recently purchased a new 22" HD tv/dvd combi for the gran-children to play games on the Wii from . To make full use of this tv I have sited it in the dining room for the space. The plan was to connect via digi sender/reciever coupled to the V+ (scientific atlanta) in the living room.
Yet can't make a signal connection via scart, which is achieveable on the bedroom STD box(samsung) Is there a reason why a connection cannot be made from the V+ which I would prefer to use?
thanks for any input.

Re: Expanding with V+

Thanks jb66, firstly going return the tv as it certainly has a fault with the scart in its mounting. That often an issue buying unknown brands, I'll post again and test your theory when I replace it hopefully tomorrow.

Re: Expanding with V+

To jb66 Changed tv under standard exchange/refund just a branded make upgrade. extra twenty notes but the quality made it justified. Anyway reconnected to V+ box and now all singing and dancing. Cheers!

Re: Expanding with V+

Seeing as you have an SA V+ box, you wont get any menus from the VCR scart i.e. you won't be able to see the TV Guide etc on the new TV.

You do on the new Samsung V+'s though.

Re: Expanding with V+

Hi Begize, I realize this arrangement is limited to the one relayed signal from our living room but to be honest it's adequate for us as the tv function is purley to cover the viewing that overlaps mealtimes (The News) Yet maybe someday the SA V+ will fault beyond repair and VM will replace it with a nice new piano black Samsung like my daughter got( Errrrrrrr.) It'll go well with TV' H/Cinema and Dvd recorder. already black (Errrrrrrrrr.)
