Question Missing channels

For a few days now, I've had "No programme information" in the Guide on my V+ box for either BBC HD or 4HD beyond this Friday, which has meant several planned series have not been inserted into the recording schedule. The channels themselves are viewable, just the guide information is missing. The guides for other HD channels like FXHD and Nat Geo HD seem fine.

As of today, I also have several channels which give the message "Sorry, this channel isn't available right now." I haven't had time to go through every channel (we're on the XL package), but so far the following cannot be tuned, though the guide is up to date:

LIVINGit, Dave ja vu, Comedy Central, Comedy Central Extra, Bravo +1, Challenge +1

These channels are missing not only on my V+ box, but also the two standard boxes (one Pace, one Samsung) in other rooms in the house.

I've cycled the power off and on a couple of time to no avail, and according to the VM status pages there are no TV faults in my area (NN3).

Is anyone else experiencing any of these problems?

Got the same problems with BBC HD, 4HD & Living HD. Rebooted the box several times, still the same. VM status pages there are no TV faults in my area (CV21).

Re: Missing channels

If you have error 1200 (sorry channel isn't available right now) on more than one box in the house then you have a signal problem. Report the fault and get a tech out.

Make a note of which channels get the error which will help the tech diagnose the problem.

Yup, it's 1200 on all of the ones I've found so far.

Will call them first thing tomorrow. Cheers.

I like your thinking, but none of the people above are in areas that have been sent cards yet. So far cards have only gone to:

Leeds & York
Watford
Seven Kings
Kirklees
Wessex
Ashford
Southampton
Hayes
Derby
Brighton
Crawley

In other areas if you have missing channels you should give the faults team a call.

Re: Missing channels

Have the same problem Birmingham Perry Barr. No programme info on BBC HD / CH4 HD and FX HD channels passed Friday. Just sat to eat my lunch and the box rebooted twice at 12:05 but still no programme info.

Anyone else still having problems.

The no programme info for HD channels is a known issue, being dealt with on remedy reference 1214258.

Where would I look to find info on remedy reference 1214258.

It helps me/us, but it apparently doesn't help the helpline staff!

On the phone to them earlier. The recorded message says that they're aware of the lost channels and (apparently) hope to have them restored by 16:30 this afternoon.

As for the HD guide info - the person on the other end of the phone seemed oblivious to it, and has arranged for a tech to come out on Monday between 12:00 and 16:00! Guess I better keep a close eye on it, and cancel the tech if it gets sorted beforehand.

Oh dear!.... some staff need to look at the Outage Page a little better! The fault will be a P2, so it's not posted to any Status Page.

You can get more info from the guys on the VM Newsgroups. HTH

They shouldn't have booked a tech for you.. AFAIK it is posted to the internal Outage Page and they should have advised you of such.

Quick update: Everything is now back to normal here in NN3. Missing channels are back, and the guide for the HD channels has updated.
