corrupt sound on v+

Has anyone else had this prob with the sammy v+? whilst watching BBC HD and the box starts to record from another channel the sound goes all crackly on the viewed channel, switching channels make no difference, switch to a freeview channel and the sound is ok,switch off the v+, sound ok on all channels,so prob not the TV sound system, switch v+ box back on and sound is restored!
V+ box connected by HDMI monster cable.
Havent noticed this happening when watching an SD channel and the box starts to record.(scratches head)

Re: corrupt sound on v+

Yes your correct! i have since found out switching input cures it,but i have followed the advice on other threads about turning off varius features on the TV side and so far have not had any further probs. ime led to believe its a known problem to TOSHIBA! (also realised it only happened when using a 5.1 surround system connected by optical to the TV!).

Re: corrupt sound on v+

Give them [Toshiba] a ring and mention it, they say they are working on a fix, the more that ring the chances are it could get sorted.

Re: corrupt sound on v+

Rang them this week, a fix is ready by about the 12th of this month, i was told for some sets it will be software only, and for others hardware based, but it will all be done free of charge.
