The thing with google is that most of what they do is half arsed. The ones they do well, they do really well. I don't think this will be one of them, there are some big names invloved but this is a box that sits along side your Cable/sat box and uses a IR blaster. It will be interesting to see how this works but I think they have a better chance at this stage if they get the bog guns to build it straight into their TVs.

Google TV isn't going to be restricted only to a box that is used alongside your STB, Google have said that they are gonna have the technology incorporated straight into TVs. Sony have signed up for Google TV so they are gonna be launching TVs in the Internet TV range that have Google TV built in. If you want the Google TV functionality but don't have a TV with it built in then you can buy a Google TV box.
