Re: New HD box (non PVR)

I think the main thing to point out is that the web instructions don't suggest that the remote should blink after you put the 4 digit code in (Type 11 below):

  • Press and hold the *(STAR) and TV buttons on your remote again for a seconds, until the light flashes
  • Enter the 4 digit code for your TV Brand and press OK
  • Pointing the remote at your TV, press and hold down the STANDBY button. Keep it pressed down and pointing at your TV. As soon as your TV switches off, release the STANDBY key and press the OK key.

Can you confirm whether the web instructions work or not?

The instructions that come with the remote state:

Look up your TV brand list, if not there use code 0010

press and hold * and TV buttons for two seconds until remote classes twice (Green)

enter four digit code and press ok - remote will class twicw again (Green)

Pointing your remote at the TV press and hold Standby button until TV goes into standby, As soon as it does release button and press ok.

All done test the Vol and mute button!!

* and Standby should standby your TV

Re: New HD box (non PVR)

Not sure if Im going mad, but I've had my VHD box for a week now (very nice too) but my back button doesnt work.

I have to press guide, but thats really annoying as it will take you straight back to the main menu and not just back a page.

Not sure if it's the remote I have (as that didn't get swapped over). Any ideas?

I have number 3 in the link below.

Many thanks.

Re: New HD box (non PVR)

If you have the V HD box you should have got either Type 9, 10 or 11 with it.

I was also given 3 on that list, and I've seen someone on AVForums who had the same issue...

My dad was given the same remote to replace his RC for his OLD SLOW V+ box as the one he got with his nes non PVR box...

The little back arrow button pauses live TV and does not do the return function it should ???????????????????????????????
