Re: New HD box (non PVR)

How have you guys got on with the new remote? I've been using it for the V+ for a few weeks and now find it really awkward - the buttons are hard to push, important buttons are wide apart/not conveniently placed together and the remote itself is uncomfortable to hold. I've now gone back to my last remote as the new one put me off from using the V+.

The remote takes a big of getting used to and I think where Back is - it should be Home.

One advantage though is that you can turn the TV on and off from the Virgin remote.

TV M isn't on the website anymore so I can't link to it.

On mine I can also change the input source to my TV which is also very useful.

REMOTE CONTROL ISSUE

Ok so got my non pVR V Box... great stuff!

Followed the instructions on how to link the remote to my Samsung TV regarding the volume control.

Press mute and volume up button until green light flashes twice CHECK
Put in 4 digit code CHECK
Green Light will flash twice again....errrr NOPE!

Treid to link it with 2 other tv's with same result... the green ligh DOES NOT flash twice after ANY input code.

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: New HD box (non PVR)

Ben, from the TV but will try the webpage and get back to you

AAAAhhhhh the TV instructions DO NOT tell you to do the '000' code and then 'OK' before you input the code ....

Re: New HD box (non PVR)

You only need to do the 000 if you are connected via SD - so you set the sound through the SCART to maximum before you disable the control of that

As it says: If your TV is connected to your Set-Top Box by HDMI, you can skip straight to step 4
