Re: New HD box (non PVR)
V HD box delivered on Friday for self install. Activation went ok or so I thought, I can't get any of the HD channels and I've lost several of the Discovery channels as well. When I select any HD channel I get a message that the channel is not available and to try again later, error 1200. Tech visit booked for Tuesday afternoon. I just wondered what a 1200 error was?

Good luck mate took vm a week and a half for my mother in-law to get up and running after the same issue. Tech couldn't resolve issue when called out. Call the self install hotline and check card is paired up and they send down a signal.

It's likely to be a problem with the signal level.

Re: New HD box (non PVR)
All up and running Tech fitted an attenuator, replaced a part in the street cabinet, replaced a part in the connection box in the house and used a new smartcard. He did say that the bits he replaced were over 8 years old, very happy with the service.

Re: New HD box (non PVR)
Does anyone know how to turn of the message about taking the box into standby, turning it of completely or going back to tv when the power button is pressed?
Bit annoying having to confirm when I always just go into standby. Cheers.

If you don't do anything it automatically goes into Standby after 15 seconds

Yes, if you press home 8,then 5 and enter the power settings then you can choose the power plan you want. ie no power saving.

I think that is just to set what happens after 3 hours, I'm sure this is set to NO Power saving but the message still appears when the power button is pressed?
