I have been watching NCIS this evening on FXHD and AD has now gone, so unless something weird is going on the AD problem has now been fixed. Thanks to you and spiderplant for your assistance in sorting out this problem.

Cheers
Ticket is still open, but issue may be resolved. Sometimes tickets stay open while further checks are done and to ensure stability of a fix.

Re: New HD box (non PVR)
Hi All,
I just called VM today in order to get a replacement V HD box. I have multi-room (3 boxes) which consists of 2 x V+ HD boxes and a very old non recordable STB. I wanted to replace the standard STB for a new V HD box but found out it was £75 for a self install.
I have tried to go through this thread, but somewhere along the line I've obviously gotten confused as I thought the price was £50 for self install.
Appreciate if someone can confirm
Many thanks.

Re: New HD box (non PVR)
Self install price is £49 and that's it. Just done one today but no HD channels have come on. I've called the self install service desk and register the serial number and the card number. I'd advise paying the odd for a tech to come out and sort yours out as I feel VM self install isn't good for this product in my experince today. Hoping the issue is reolved by 4pm today when they call back to confirm HD channels are on.

Not yet it's not
Currently if you already have HD boxes and want a V HD box as a multiroom box it's £75 activation plus appropriate install costs if applicable
At the moment the £49 activation cost if is if the V HD box is the first HD box on the account only

Me bad. Sorry I should have said upgrading mother in-law's Samsung SD box. There's a tech coming out tomorrow for her issue as still no HD channels. I must add that there was not enough in the self install packaging to complete the job and no mention of the self install serivce desk to call which I had to twice.

Re: New HD box (non PVR)
My second TV is now HD capable and the old Pace V box is Scart only. Looking at the options, I can pay the same £50 for a V Box HD OR a V+ HV PVR, so a bit of a no brainer. However, after the news (from last NOVEMBER) that a deal had been done with Tivo, I'd rather u'g to this, and cascade my V+. The difficulty is I dislike being locked in to another 12 months with no opportunity to switch if I address my current requirements.
Neith my local engineer nor CS on the phone have anything other than 'later in the year' - anyone heard any different?

When my V-HD box was installed I asked about this, he said the same thing. My daughter wants the new HD Tivo box and is going to wait until it is released.

I don't think the option is as simple as that. With a 2nd V+ I think you'll pay an extra £10 per month (at least you do on the VIP pack), whereas the V-HD has no extra monthly cost. That's why I've gone for V-HD.

Re: New HD box (non PVR)
We've just got a version of software that fixes it. But it will need a full test cycle so it may be a few weeks until it is rolled out.

This is only based on the fact Tivo will replace V+ (it would be pointless to retain such a similar product). It may be classed as a premium product, true, but you have to remember V+ has already dropped considerably as a cash-cow, and with Tivo providing more HD and greater Internet connectivity, I don't believe there is enough to warrant a price hike.
Having been a Tivo user from Day 1, the ability of the device to make 'suggestions' is for me the prime mover in getting one, and I would certainly (given a choice) drop a V+ to take Tivo - it is a no-brainer.
My concern, us that they announce something (in November 2009) and some 5 months later, it STILL is not available to access by VM customers.
