Also had all 4 new cards today in bristol and was up and running within 10min

Hooray if they are in Bristol hopefully they will be across the channel soon and in Newport!

It will be soon enough but remember you are EX-NTL and Bristol is EX-Telewest so you are not on the same headend, so no getting your hopes up just yet.

New cards have arrived. I just wonder if it's safe to insert them. Since 6:30 this evening phone + broadband + TV have been off 4 times, the fiorst time for some 45 minutes

The is no immediate rush especially if the is an area issue as you have a few weeks before you really need to swap them.

Put them in tomorrow. If there is a problem with the cards you are better finding out sooner than later, otherwise you may be without channels for a few days waiting for a replacement card to arrive.

Swapped both boxes - all OK took about 5 mins max for both -
even remembered I had SS and SM HD !!
