Well they haven't asked for it back so I'll just hang on to it in case I get a Samsung box and the problem still exists. I can then ask for any further firmware updates if they exist at that time.

Can you give me contact details for sharp regarding this problem?
I would try emailing the same message to several of the drop down departments. That way you should get a response from someone.
I'm assuming you have the same model and problem as I had. If so, and you have no joy with Sharp direct send me a private message and I'll see if I can help.

i have a question for anybody who can help me,i have a v+hd box,2 hdmi leads,1 optical lead.when i took the optical lead out i was not getting any sound from the tv,is there anyway i can just use the 2 hdmi leads instead of the optical lead

Thanks for the help, i've sent the message and see what happens.
Unfortunatly I was at work on Tues 23rd when the V+ box was installed, but the VM guy told the wife about the problems with the tellys we have.
Anyway thanks for the help, I will let you Know the outcome.
