Question about upgrading?

Hi there

I'm currently on Virgin's £20 bundle of TV M, Phone M and Broadband L.

Now I'd like to simply upgrade the TV part to L. Does anyone know how much extra this would cost me please?

Thanks for reading

Hi! Welcome to CF

The standard upgrade price for this would be an additional £11.50 per month - but usually they can do it for less if you're willing to accept a new 12mth contract. If you're not thinking about leaving in the next 12 months i'd suggest calling customer services and asking the question.

£11.50?! Jees for that I might as well go for XL - or would that be something even more crazy like £21.50?

How much do you think I could get it for with the 12 months Chuzzle? Thanks for the welcome btw I've being floating for a while and it's a great informative forum

Re: Question about upgrading?

lol you guessed it - standard price for the upgrade to XL is £23.00 - again the same rule applies with regards to the reduction in cost if you take a contract.

The deal that springs to mind with the L tv M phone and L bbi is the £19.00 (plus £11.00 for line rental ) So I reckon you'll be looking in the region of £30.00 overall dependant on how you pay your bills and how you receive them

We don't pay line rental at the moment (can't remember how we managed to blag that) so would this make any difference? I guess we'd just be shooting ourselves in the foot and pay more no matter what!

Re: Question about upgrading?

You don't pay line rental? lol how did you manage to swindle that? Are you sure? But yup any deal you already have is removed when you upgrade so odds are you'd shoot up - i guess it just depends how badly you want the channels now?

It never hurts to give them a bell, though. Sometimes there is something better that can be done. And if all else fails use the 'I'd like a better deal or i'm going elsewhere' tactic

Re: Question about upgrading?

What channels on the L TV do you want?
You could get the likes of Sky 1 / 2, Living 1 / 2, Hallmark and G.O.L.D if you take the M+ for an extra £5.50p/m (so £16.50 w/ M Phone)
