Don't work (but then no 3d glasses have ever worked for me)
I wonder if Virgin 1 will air the episode without all that 3d rubbish

That video was for amber(yellow)/blue glasses as opposed to the more regular red/blue.
More youtube3d here : http://www.youtube.com/results?searc...rue&search=tag . The first result doesn't have the drop down menu select for different types of glasses. The rest do however.

Re: Test your Chuck 3D Glasses here!!!
I got my free glasses with my TV & Satalite Times earlier this week so it was interesting having something to try them out on as I remember using the Red/Green ones at the local cinema a loooooong time ago. The monkey scenes didn't impress me but that snake. <shudder> I doubt if I will bother watching Chuck 3D as using the glasses on top of my normal ones is annoying, but thanks for providing the link robthewizz.
add... my 3D glasses have got 'Part time spy, full time nerd.' emblazoned across the front. .... Irrelevant to the thread I know but it made me smile.

Around 5% of the population are unable to view 3D films properly, usually because one eye is stronger than the other so the effect doesn't work for them.

Re: Test your Chuck 3D Glasses here!!!
I'm annoyed that my TV & Satellite special offer subscription (the 60p one) doesn't start until September. What was the point of Virgin posting this special deal when I can't even get my 3D glasses this way? I still have to buy the magazine at full price in a shop now.

For the some more demos and other bits, go to http://www.colorcode3d.com/gallery/ and download the full set of demos. (6 of). The 3D is a lot better than the old style.

Ok I concede that point but reald is a different technology and it does use both eyes to trick the brain but it is light years ahead of the old tech

Ummm ... except it's not really light years ahead of the old technology
Real 3-D still uses polarized glasses which was how 3D worked in cinemas in the 1950s.
You could even argue that it is a step backwards since the resolution of the digital projectors isn't as high as the old dual-projector 35mm system

Re: Test your Chuck 3D Glasses here!!!
bobbins the effects are light years ahead film/digital resolution same thing can be said with cameras but but the tech is hugely advanced
Polarized glasses with stereostropic projections have been used since well before the 50's however the digital technology and its all a trick I know this but the new digital projectors with the new polarized glasses is lightyears away from twin colours headaches and eye strain. Lets face it pretty much all technology dates back a long time just look at the transistor but would you argue the cpu with millions of transistors is not much of an advancement to the early models

There was a fad for 3D movies back in the fifties too. They didn't use twin colours, they used polarised glasses - just as Real 3-D does.

Bad analogy. Modern CPUs are of course much more advanced and powerful than 50-year-old transistors. But properly set up and aligned, the 3D effect in cinemas in the fifties was virtually indistinguishable from the effect produced by Real 3-D. The technology used to create the effect has changed, but the 3D effect itself has not been improved by "light years".

Just got mine, had a look at some 3D stuff online and it's actually really good. Can't wait to see Chuck in 3D now.
