Sorry, just being a bit sarcastic but I do wonder whether Sky might have kept HD as an exclusive when they agreed to provide the footage which I think is possible. But that's just a theory as is whether Sky have other HD exclusives with other broadcasters

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2009)
Somebody asked if ESPN will be showing any Spanish La Liga games. The answer is no, unfortunately Sky hold the rights to La Liga.
And regarding Championship games on ESPN, again, no, they are primarily held by Sky, with the BBC holding 10 games a season, which will be shown on BBC HD.
The only major football ESPN can still get hold of is the FA Cup.

Not really major, and I don't think ESPN are interested in it. If they had two channels then they may be.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2009)
More news to come from Virgin Media - This week.
- News on what's happening with the remaining channels left from the old Setanta offer - like Racing UK and Arsenal TV.
- And, look out later in the week for more news on TV - including how Sky is changing their premium channel prices (For Sky Movies and Sky Sports) and how it will affect us.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2009)
Is there much coverage of NBA games in the UK? If so, anybody know who shows it? Ta.
AWESOME news about HD though, and a decent selection I'd say.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2009)
Setanta showed the NBA finals this year so maybe ESPN will do the NBA in 2010. It would fit in very well alongside MLB and NHL.
Excellent news about ESPN being in XL and also that ESPN Classic is finally going to appear on VM. It's been the biggest missing channel in the VM line-up. Am I right in assuming that ESPN Classic will launch on Monday when ESPN launches?

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2009)
Yes ESPN Classic will launch on Monday
And I have it on VERY good authority that ESPN just haven't updated their website properly yet
ESPN HD on Virgin is EXACTLY the same as ESPN HD on Sky

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2009)
What I would like to know is how can ESPN launch 2 channels on Monday ESPN and ESPN Classic, but have to remove ESPN America. Surely they can leave ESPN America alone and launch ESPN Classic at a later date.
