Guide problems V+ records Repeat showings!!

Over the last few Months I have been adding ( as you do ) new series to recording schedule ( removing old completed series ) BBC2 From Charley Borman Ireland to Sydney by any means; Primary showing 20.00 Sunday eve Throughout series kept also trying to record the the repeat showing at 23.20 on the following wednesday! Causing program recording Conflicts. No Other repeat showings of this Program.

Now FX Burn Notice Primary showing 21.00 Sunday eve the Program guide Ignores 6 Other repeats But now decides to record the last repeat showing which Immediately preceeds the new episode. Which in turn Causes conflicts.

This fault is currently being investigated But has Taken me 4 Weeks to get the problem Escalated!!!!

Infact ONE VM member of staff ( GB Call Centre " HOORAY" ) Told me that all repeat showings will be recorded !!!?

When I challenged this point by explaining that for 18 MONTHs This DID NOT Occur with any other Programs; "He told me there must be a problem with my box"!! I then Told him that he did not know what he was Talking about as the series link is to record each 1 off showing of only new episodes ALL, Unless otherwise selected in the Yellow button options.

I now await a Call back from 2nd Level support.

The series link option is a handy feature but does require to be constantly maintained if disappointment is to be avoided.

I think the problem is exacerbated by the quality of the program descriptions/series links supplied.

Things seem to be a little better with the Sky+ in this area but unfortunately foul ups still occur on a quite regular basis.

If you find an incorrect series link, post a message here and it'll get fixed.

Having notified 2 level V+ Problems I got a phone call today to tell me that it had been resolvrd!!! So Deleted bothe series links for the 2 Ofending Programs; rebooted V+ Box then set the programs again and surprise surprise when going into scheduled prog recordings and Low and behold The problem is still there!!

As spiderplant has already said - you need to post series link problems (which are ongoing) to the guy that can actually do something about it (he supplied a link)
