Hi How do you know what brand of box you have, does it say on the kit. Also what would be the newest (and best?) thanks

Hi,

All V+ boxes are the same make and model (scientific Atlanta 8600 I think). There is no newer or best.. as yet.

No, they are made by Scientific Atlanta, but VM use the Explorer 8300.
