Angry VM & US Open Tennis

I am sending this now as I am too mad to sleep! I have been following the US Open over the last week and a half. Tonight I stayed up to watch Murray's match and the Williams sisters.

Everything was going smoothly until 15 minutes after the Nadal vs Fish match starts when both of my boxes go dead. No amount of reboots, unplugging etc has worked. I phoned VM only to find some irritating recording telling me that they are not open again until 8am. So thanks a bunch VM. A very unhappy customer ...

Re: VM & US Open Tennis

There was no cable TV available full stop! Just found out having spoken to VM that there was a fault in my area. Still mad at missing the match this morning when the TV service ground to a halt at 5 am. Highlights are just not the same as watching it live. What bugs me is VM make a fortune out of us but if something goes wrong overnight there is no one there to talk to or any engineers on stand by to deal with any problems.

Calm down dear, it's only TV!

Actually they have network engineers working 24hrs for such faults. They have network alarms and they will investigate such issues, regardless of the opening times of the call centres.

Indeed! Some people forget about that number.
