Yes, I don't think we have enough capacity at present for more HD channels, so unless they make some more bandwidth available pretty soon, there will be no more HD for Christmas, which would be a shame.

Not for the 15 Sky 100% owned and branded ones, certainly not but I think the chances of those being added before christmas are about as likely as the millenium falcon successfully taking on an Imperial Stardestroyer. They may well sign a deal before christmas and then spend the next 6 months twiddling thumbs working out how to roll them out.
There is probably enough for C4HD but things are quiet, I doubt we'll get that this month either, which is a shame as there are some wicked films on C4HD in December. I didn't really see the bandwidth being eaten up with a splurge of +1 channels.

With BICSnoculars of course!
Firstly you need a Samsung box. You can't do it with a PACE.
{I'm sure I posted this earlier.  }

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV
Discovery to launch crime channel in UK
Discovery Networks UK is to take on A&E and Sky's Crime & Investigation Network by launching a 24-hour crime channel with a strong emphasis on original commissions.
Investigation Discovery (ID) will go live in January and will air US content. Discovery -already runs an ID channel in the US.
Discovery Networks UK head of factual Dan Korn said he had ordered a number of upcoming one-offs, such as 3BM Television's Torso in the Thames, and explained that he wanted to commission series that "get under the skin of the experts".
"Crime shows are generally skewed towards older females, but we are hoping that the channel will also appeal to a younger co-viewing audience," said Korn.
Korn praised rival Crime & Investigation Network for the way it approached the genre and forced Discovery to "step up to the plate". ID will launch on channel 551 on Sky, as well as on cable.
Info from broadcastnow.
Media Boy NOTE: If Virgin Media has not sign new deal with Discovery they will axe one of the Discovery +1 Channels to make way for the launch of ID.

Well if there are 30 BIC's one of which can definitely take a HD then if all the remaining 29 were SD and you need 4 SD to 1 HD then that would be 7 (with one SD spare) so by that reckoning then must have room for 8 HD Channels. So:
Sky 1 HD
Sky Sports HD 1,2 and 3
Sky Premier HD
Sky Movies Screen 1 HD
C4 HD
ITV HD
Please

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV
When BBC One received a new look it was "rebranded". Same concept.
