its so the genre of the channels are lumped together, look at what theyve done i.e. channel numbers/channel names/type of channel, and you will see it makes sense.

I do not know if E! Entertainment, Zone Horror, Diva TV /+1, DMAX and MTV ® will also be moving.

At least Roger Tilling, the continuity announcer on Hallmark, has been telling us about the move. I haven't heard anything on the other channels, have you?
WRT Diva, DMAX etc., where they end up in the EPG rather depends on what they are classed as (Entertainment, Lifestyle, Science etc.). Diva could still be grouped with Hallmark and DMAX could be moved in with Discovery but there are alternative ways to class these channels too. I think Discovery would prefer DMAX to be classed as Entertainment to get the Science phobes to start watching Discovery. Do VM have to agree the moves with the channel owner?
If you are using Favourites, do the channels move in the list automatically or do you have to reconfigure your Favourites? If they move then using Favourites may be of some help to those having problems adjusting to the EPG changes. However, I do think the VM should have made an announcement about the changes. With the return of the Sky channels, at least they put messages up on the Guide and place holder screens on the new channels.

I didn't say that the latest changes had anything to do with the return of Sky, just that with the Sky changes, VM gave us some notice via the Guide. They should have given us advance notice of the changes made last week and coming up next week. There are a lot of changes going on now and next year so writing to all VM customers each time would be expensive but they could put a notice up on the Guide like they are currently doing with Sky and iPlayer.

The +1 variant to be launched next year will be known as non-Bio.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV
I guess people are too Mod Edit: Questionable Word Removed these days to handle a channel name which actually has more than one word. The dumbing down of society continues unabated. I await the rebranding of BBC 3 into 'KEBABS' and Channel 4 into 'CHIPZ'.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV
I just noticed on the VM site for their full channel listings that they are now listing Sky Real Life's one and two as being part of the TV-L package, I was under the impression these two channels were only available in the XL package, has this now changed.?

It's getting ridiculous now. Not only are channels changing their names to a single word, but they now seem to be competing to see who can get away with the shortest channel name!
BIO indeed!
"The word Bio is a major part of the branding and is how the channel refers to itself on air most of the time. Our viewers are now used to this and to avoid confusion we felt is was time to bring the last few references to The Biography Channel in line."
LOL. So they changed the name to "avoid confusion". Such contempt for their viewer's intelligence.
