Discovery is to launch a new channel, Investigation Discovery, in January 2009.
The new channel - ID for short - will feature crime programming. And will launch January 20.
That all the info I got at this time.

It's amazing how much the Total Channels/Total Services and TS Streams vary between ex-NTL and ex-Telewest and also between different areas. There's even a difference between upstairs and downstairs in Media Boy's house.  I presume the differences are to do with the different franchises that were originally absorbed into NTL and Telewest (and now Virgin Media) and the variety of headend UBR equipment each used. Please feel free to correct any misuse of the terminology.

Actually, AFAIK, MediaBoy is primarily a BSkyB customer and just has one VBox in his vast mansion.

Dear Gary
Movies4Men is currently available through Sky and FreeSat, we would like very much to be on the Virgin cable network but unfortunately they have a limited carriage capacity.
This means that with other channels wishing to be taken on we are just one of many in a long queue.
Perhaps you should direct your energies at Virgin themselves.
