Not wishing to get involved in the argument about who cares etc... I would like to say that a Channel launch is NOT on Virgin Media yet again!!

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV
We keep on hearing about NEW channels coming to VM, then just before the launch date, it gets cancelled, and this is typical of VM, we also hear about channels coming in 2009, what about this year, this is so annoying, VM seem to standing still when it comes to new channels, whereas with other broadcastors, it comes on within days, l always read the mag 'What Sat' that gives you all the dealings, that is going on, you can get the web site 'wotsat'.

This is to do with the fact that VM have to pay to carry channels on their network whereas with Sky channels pay to be part of the EPG. Hence it is harder for VM to add new channels than it is on Sky

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV
Hi sherer, This might be a strange question, BUT why to VM have to pay to carry channels on there network, l can understand that with Sky, but when you think that VM have V1 on Sky, you would have thought, that some arrangement would be made,.

I don't understand a word it says but here is an article about what QAMs are, I think. It's way beyond me.

Update:
I have been told that the 3 new QAMS is for new TV Channels and Interactive to appear on BOTH networks of Virgin TV.
I think Watch, Watch +1 and Pop Girl will use THREE of the 30 new channels.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV
Any chance The Fight Network or WWE 24/7 could be among the numbers?
