Re: Anyone heard of XL Plus Package

take a cut on the BB or TV then. It'll either cut it by £7 or £10.50

When I phoned to get my ultimate xl package the other day I was only on xl Broadband and needed to upgrade phone and tv.While I was on tthe phone I asked about my son upgrading to the package he is on xl phone xl TV and large Broadband.
I was told that would be okay but he would have to have a modem installed to get the XL Broadband because his STB wouldnt be capable .She said ring up and it would be sorted.
I dont know wether you receive Broadband Via STb Or modem but I would certainly ring in because you would be upgrading your Package from Large Broadband To XL broadband.Just phone up and find out

Re: Anyone heard of XL Plus Package

Well CS are actively selling this package. I just rang to have my phone number changed again and got the hard sell (which was nice enough really).
If I change to e-billing and drop itemised billing I can get Ultimate Triple (which sounds the same as THIS) for £56.50 pcm.
No mention of a V Box (or V+ whatever the difference is..) but sure I rad somewhere someone had got it as part of the deal.
I only wanted to change my number - more confused than ever now!

Re: Anyone heard of XL Plus Package

When I asked about XL+, with the V+ box I was told this offer is only open to new customers, and that existing customers could only have the XL package at £56.??

Re: Anyone heard of XL Plus Package

Will I be able to get Triple XL if I currently have:

XL TV - £20.50
XL Phone - £11 + £7.95 = £18.95
M Broadband - £18

Totaling: £57.45

So I could get XL Broadband and pay £1 per month less. Will they let me move onto this package. I have been a customer since they were cabletel over 10 years ago.

Re: Anyone heard of XL Plus Package

Customer Care cannot give you a bundle where it reduces your overall price (at the moment).

Again, all I can suggest is downgrade a service for 1 month (i.e TU to TEW) then phone back and ask for it. As you will be increasing your bundle they will do it

Re: Anyone heard of XL Plus Package

Ben, is there a difference between Ultimate Triple & Triple XL?
Or is the link I posted the right details for both?

Cheers.

Thats a shame I doubt I can get my dad to do that. He has a phobia of getting anything to do with our cable service changed as NTL used to muck it up everytime. Even if I tell him its Virgin Media now he thinks they will be just as bad. I would have probably been able to get him to upgrade if he was going to save money and be able to do it in one step but he'll find it too much hastle to downgrade and then upgrade again.

Are there plans to be able to allow customers to have packages that cost less than they are currently paying?

Re: Anyone heard of XL Plus Package

I must say this thread has been pretty helpful i was about to go for VIP package which works out as £85pm which includes the V+ box which i dont actually want. I think i will just ask for the XL plus bundle for £65pm, im on like xl BB, L tv and some deal with my phone where i pay £9 for 200 minutes a month and this all ruffly costly around £65 anyway so seems i can upgrade my TV for free theoretically.....Yay for this thread!

Can't they? They switched me from XL tv, L broadband and standard phone to the triple XL deal and reduced my monthly bill by £1 - at their suggestion not mine.

Re: Anyone heard of XL Plus Package

Ok let me rephrase that. The Care bundle rules state that you either have to keep your price the same or increase it.

Anyone who doesn't follows the rules, won't be working for Virgin for very long
