Haha
I think most people just want the Sky channels back because they have had them before on cable and think that they are entitled to them because of that.

Fyi my telly is off. Because I post a smiley indicating how bored I am of your usual crappy 'I love my Sky' attitude, is that all you can come out with?
You post your picture of a startled owl - I'll refrain from posting the one with you kissing Rupert Murdoch's butt, just in case it crosses the thresholds of indecency on this forum.

You think wrong then - I wouldn't have them back if someone paid me.
Some need to digest the fact that there are people who can do without the wonders of Sky and when they say they don't miss them, they really mean it. Don't let the truth hurt you now.

That was not referring to you - I may have quoted you but I started another paragraph which was referring to someone else, they know who they are.

Re: Virgin Media in talks over bringing back Sky
I did miss the sky basic channels for about a week, then I found so much much better content on other channels like discovery, some more inteligent programs that make you think instead of the mindless pap sky1 would show.
If the sky basics came back I might watch one or two programs on them (when drunk) but do we really need a channel that has brought back Gladiators?

Well said, I too missed the likes of Stargate at first but there are other ways of watching it, in the meantime anyone who has the XL package gets great content across the Discovery network, also the History channel and Nat-Geo, excellent channels with superb programing. As mentioned earlier VM have lost those who wanted Sky desperately so I for one hope they don't do a dopey deal whereby after getting back Sky basics VM bump up the cost of our subscriptions. At this point in time VM must have the upper hand, so don't cave in now VM.

Re: Virgin Media in talks over bringing back Sky
again ppl need to remember that everyone likes different things so while you (or me) mite think that Gladiators for example is pants not everyone will.

My telly would be off too if i had Virgin, not exactly much to watch is there with all those missing channels, no HD and repeats on demand.

As you say, I dont give a what you think. Personally I think your talking bovine excrement but hey ho I'm not about to convice you otherwise.
Its the fact you pop up in most threads mentioning sky, either singing there praises or condeming Virgin which gets up my nose. Anybody would think you've got an alarm that goes off to which you shout "BlueRaja away"
I dont know why you do it, hey you probably just enjoy "trolling" anything to do with Virgin and Sky. I'm hardly a Virgin fan at the moment but neither am I a Sky fan and I have experienced both.
For the record and to keep this even slightly on topic I miss some shows from Sky 1 but I can live without them and its hardly a big deal. To be more specific the programs are:
The Colour of Magic: I'm a big Terry Pratchett Fan
Gladiators: Enjoyed the original and would have liked to see what they have done to it
Thats about it.

My word pull your pants up and stop trying to see how far higher you can urinate up the wall. I'm not interested in a 'mines better than yours' argument, quite frankly that's playground stuff. Are you sure 32 is your real age?
As always your contribution to this debate is as inaccurate, invalid and unfunny as the last one.
HD argument is irrelevant. SD TV does me fine on Virgin and I do find that there is plenty of content to watch thanks. Infact the V+ box makes SD even better, so that does me rather than paying for rip off content just because it happens to be in better quality.
All 'those' missing channels - you're talking 4 channels at most:-
Sky One - A channel full of repeated overly high rated crap. No loss there then.
Sky News - Just a news channel. No loss there then.
Sky Sports - A Sports channel. Can watch matches down the pub. So no loss there then.
Sky Sports News - A Sky Sports news channel. No loss there then.
Btw - I got rid of the Sky Movie packages because they aren't value for money. In other words they are crap.
Please stop making it sound like we have lost the crown jewels - we haven't.
