oxymoron - "legal" crime; is that like "celibate" sex?

Or did you mean the so-called "white-collar" crimes.

Bonuses are not a crime, they are part of a contract - and expenses are paid in reimbursement of money paid out whilst carrying out duties on behalf of a business; if you/one fraudulently claims expenses, that is usually gross misconduct (a sacking offence) and you/one can also be prosecuted

Heh, are you taking credit for this, or just saying it started raining after you danced, so to speak?

These are clearly dealers, who got caught with 100s of boxes. There will almost certainly be no prosecution of individual users as a result of this, and it's obviously part of an on-going campaign by Virgin to clamp down on the sale of boxes, and there have been other such arrests in recent weeks both in the UK and Ireland.

Re: Illegal Box Users Arrested

don't know if this is still the case but if you are part of the prosecutions evidence your name will be in the courts papers(the depths).the accuseds solicitor receives a copy of those papers and so does the accused if he wants one.perhaps things are different now as im going back a few years.

The police raided premises on the above three roads, (the road names were given in the article). Don_1 claims he grassed his neighbour, which led to above 3 raids. Voila

I think the appropriate answer should be -
"it is policy to neither confirm nor deny any speculation"

No, don_1 used this story as an example to cable thieves, proving that illegal cable boxes are a problem for VM.

I strip you of your badge, junior detective.

It was very strongly implied by don_1 in the first post of this thread that his actions were at least partially responsible for these arrests. His original complaint seemed to be about an individual cable "thief", not dealers, which is what these arrests are targeted at. He also neglected to mention if any action had been taken against the person he supposedly turned in.
