TV flickering

hi all i have a cheap standard 14inch TV in my bedroom which is connected to a virgin V box samsung, im keep getting a flickering on the tv screen at random times i have tryed to alter the mode to widescreen and letterbox but im still getting it is my tv on the way out or is it something else may seem a odd question to most ppl but its annoying me

Could it be something as simple as a loose scart connector on the TV, I too have an old TV on the extra box and occasionally it will flicker with lighter horizontal bands of brightness if the scart comes loose. Have to wobble it around a bit or re-position the scart lead to sort it.

i had the same problem with my main tv in the living room and i was advised by forum members to pull the plug for 20 seconds and let my vbox reboot,this has worked for me hope this helps.
