Menu/UI not appearing

Hi All,

I've just had a V+ STB installed to replace my old Ntl STB (about 45minutes ago) in my upstairs bedroom. I already have one downstairs and am thoroughly happy with it.
When the engineer had installed it, the menu was working fine. I was able to see all TV listings, set recording etc.
I moved the box from the shelf to a lower shelf to give it more breathing room.
I removed the scart from the back of the box and used the HDMI cable from my PS3 to try out the HD channels. It didn't work because I'd forgotten to change the settings to HDMI, so I plugged the scart back in (without removing the HDMI cable) and rebooted.

Now when I try and view anything; although the picture/sound are fine, I cannot see any user interface. The functions seem to work, in that I can pause and resume live TV - but nothing appears on the screen other than the picture to confirm what I'm doing.

I have tried the reset button on the front of the STB, and also unplugged/re-plugged from the mains numerous times.

I have tried without the HDMI cable plugged in, and still exactly the same problem.

Is there any other way I can restart the V+ box, or any advice you can give me please?

Thanks in advance for any responses
Steve

Make sure the Scart Lead is in the Top Scart socket at the back of the V+ box marked TV, sounds like you've plugged the scart into the bottom scart which is meant for connecting to a VCR/DVD Recorder so you won't see any menus connected to that socket.
