thats funny it stiil on virginmedia when on my dab the jazz space has been
silent all day so it must have gone of air .maybe it is just a tape of old programe being played on virgin , because i when to the radio to see if it was
still on virgin . the jazz web site does it has ceased broadcasting .

No you didn't, you said "I think Virgin will make room for 224 SD Channels ( 32X7 )

and 56 HD Channels ( Virgin need 4 SD Channels to broadcast 1 HD Channel )"

Implying that VM intend to use the space for launching "making room" for channels is not the same as saying what the capacity is.

Don't forget the channels have to be paid for too.

With all due respect Neptune I think your being a bit hard on good ole TV Boy as I read it he was saying that once VM shut down the analogue signal it would give them enough bandwidth to have up to 224 SD or 56 HD channels. As good as TV Boy is I don't think even he could predict or promise over 200 new channels.

TV Boy did mention that we might be getting channel 4 HD, channel 5 HD and maybe ITV HD later in the year. I certainly hope so as VM have drastically fallen behind Sky on the HD front, even if we just get these soon it will be a start. Then maybe VM can start looking at Nat Geographic HD and Discovery HD, I hope I'm not just fantasizing about these last two though.
