What!!!
The credit crunch has nothing to do with it!
Sky One wont be coming to VM because Richie Boy wont do business if he thinks he's being conned. Its fine for him to con us though.

The day to day running of Virgin Media has nothing to do with Richard Branson, and there is no indication that he was ever directly involved in the Sky channel negotiations.
Anything that suggests otherwise is merely speculation, and the British presses desire to pit two giants of commerce against each other.

Once again, I will say, Sky One isnt coming back, UNLESS THERE IS A TAKEOVER! And a Takeover WONT happen because of the Credit Crunch.
Your right, Virgin Media wont pay the price for Sky One etc, (who can blame them? Do you want to see a price hike on your bill for a mediocre set of channels?) however it has been said that if there was a Takeover from someone else, their first port of call would be to get the channels back at a good price.
You obviously misread what I said...

Re: Coming soon to Virgin Media 2008.
I may have missed it in this thread due to conflicting reports, but does anybody know when The Sarah Connor Chronicles start on V1?
Cheers

Re: Coming soon to Virgin Media 2008.
I think Virgin Media sign an deal with E! late on Thursday night that how it was not removed.
In 2002 (I think) The History Channel was removed from Telewest at about 7am they sign an deal that day and Telewest put it back on sometime before 8pm that night. So maybe the something happen with E!.

I am glad they have managed to retain a channel, even though I never watch it. :S

Re: Coming soon to Virgin Media 2008.
I've been waiting for ages to see MotorsTV on the ex. Telewest network, but having seen people saying it looks like it might be dropped, I decided to email MotorsTV and VM for an update.
No reply from VM as yet, but I received the following from MotorsTV yesterday:
We are currently finalizing the renegotiation of our contract and there is no problem. We are indeed only on the ex-NTL network for the moment and Virgin Media is giving us serious hope that the distribution of the channel will be very soon extended to the ex-Telewest network.
Best regards,

Re: Coming soon to Virgin Media 2008.
CALLING ALL MAN. UNITED FANS!
According to Manutd.com, MUTV will be free Wednesday to remember the Busby Babes and the tragic Munich Disaster.
Apparently, its free RIGHT NOW, BUT IT MAY REMAIN FREE UNTIL Wednesday night.
Im not 100% if it will free for the 5 days, but it is free now and Wednesday.
