Its a Samsung Box and the channel can be seen in the engineers menu. I am using 435.000Mhz as my frequency, although dont know if that means anything, the box used to be on 411.000mhz

Absolute rubbish. The quality of picture depends on the quality of the encoding and the bitrate allocated to the encoder doing the job.
The frequency of the transport stream carrying a particular channel bears no relation to picture quality.
Given your philosophy Andrew, Skys pics would be pants, even their L band frequency signals from the LNB are generally well above Virgins frequencies. Their actual carrier frequencies are more than ten times higher, twenty times if you consider the uplink frequencies.

Re: Coming soon to Virgin Media 2008.
Thats actually quite true...
Frequencies scan for channels, not quality... Were in the digital era now! :P
Going to check my box for HD! :P
---------- Post added at 22:45 ---------- Previous post was at 22:34 ----------
NO itv hd, Although I dont have that frequency on my box.
I tried the nearest one to it, and had the same channel line up.
