Re: Coming soon to Virgin Media 2008.
hi, dont suppose anyone knows but in the log menu it used to say tftp fail (in other topics it was posted as an old system) , now it says tftp success, does this mean they've change the system they're using.

It's just random. The TFTP thing was required by an old headend system that is no longer used, but the STB software hasn't been updated to stop doing it yet.

ITV cut CITV to 6am - 12.30pm at weekends so they are going to put the CITV hours back to 6pm at weekends.

Re: Coming soon to Virgin Media 2008.
I have got the following in an email over the weekend.
Clubland TV is not in testing as far as I know and if they can't find space for Arsenal TV I doubt that they would find it for Clubland.
A few members on various Arsenal fan sites are saying that customer support have told them that Arsenal TV will be coming in February. This would make sense if what your saying about Motors TV possibly being removed at the end of the month actually happens, especially as Motors TV occupies ch 545, next to Liverpool TV.

Info from Jasmeet.

Nope, Sky encode and encrypt C4 HD for Channel 4.
Andrew is yet to show me a single box Professional receiver that can decrypt H.264 Videoguard encrypted channels. Theres still a reason for it, it doesn't exist. Until it does then Virgin cannot take Sky's HD channels from satellite and re-encode them onto their own platform. The alternatives are a three box soultion or a direct HD SDI fibre feed, both very expensive solutions.
