Virgin need to sign an new deal for all the Ex-Emap Radio Channels anyway so that Virgin can offer their viewers on the Ex-Telewest them.

Agreed, eventhough it's nice to have the 'on demand option' I would still like to have the variety of music channels in which sky have

Re: Coming soon to Virgin Media 2008.
I have found the following on the Arsenal web site about Arsenal TV coming to Virgin Media.
Quote:
|
Q: Is Arsenal TV available on Virgin Media?
|
Quote:
A: Due to issues with Virgin Media's channel capacity Arsenal TV will not be available on Virgin Media at launch. The channel will launch as planned on Sky hanel 423 on January 14th. Arsenal would like to apologise on behalf of Virgin for this delay and re-assure all supporters that we are working with Virgin and Setanta to resolve this issue as soon as possible. Arsenal TV will be available to Virgin customers in the future and the date will be publicised widely as soon as it is confirmed.

I totally agree with this.
Imagine ho amazing it would be to have a video playlist on demand for 10/ 15 tracks?

While I'm confident Virgin will carry C4 HD in the (relatively near - i.e. this year) future, one can't help but wonder whether your rumours are just made up in the near future to avoid people going to Sky for C4 HD.

Just watched NYPD Blue on DMAX.
It was the 2nd episode of the first series.
Hopefully they are going to show the whole lot.
Big if they do.

I think that somewhere on the forum I read that there was a plan to introduce a playlist facility with Music on Demand but I can't remember where that was or any implementation date.
Does anyone else have info on this?

Re: Coming soon to Virgin Media 2008.
Funny, because if they removed the Discovery Channel they arent Broadcasting anymore, that would free up one channel for another channel.
Stupid company.

I suspect it's just got a bit more serious than just lack of room for one channel if it's now impacting on a previously announced and confirmed launch for Arsenal TV. As has been said before on here and another place, VM really now need to get on with shutting down analogue cable tv, and clearing out some of the useless stuff such as Virgin Central and Filmflex previews loop channels.
That would buy them a bit more time. Question now is, how many of the "coming soon" channels listed here will now not happen this year unless they sort their "critical" issue?

Re: Coming soon to Virgin Media 2008.
OK, This thread is the mutz nutz. But VM need to read what's going on in this forum.
If there are constraints on the capacity side of things which therefore prevent new channels that people want - CH4, HD in general, football club channels etc - then they simply change them for the gear that people may not want - like all the +1 stuff for a start.
Just a thought, and keep up the good works guys!
