My opinion on TV down

I have two ideas why this has happened.

1. Virgin have tried wacking all illegal boxes and whilst they have done this they have killed everyones box.
This isnt the first time they have made this massive error.

2. Its a ratings thing, apart from channels 101 - 105 Virgin 1 is the only other channel available.

And whats most annoying about this, they waited until 20 mins after the phone lines close to do this so they dont have to listen everyone in the UK phoning to complain.

In my opinion every time this happens we all should be re-inburst with £2, I am sure if this was to happen then they would hesitate wacking boxes.

Perhaps it was just a fault?

Just because they're out to get you doesn't mean you should be paranoid.

Well, the conspiracy theories didn't take long to arrive, heh.

Seriously, faults happen, things break, the power went, the UPS failed, simple, it wasn't a ratings thing, and it wasn't a failed anti-piracy attempt, stop being paranoid.

Re: My opinion on TV down

When are Sky and BT going to get on Watchdog? They are equally clueless.

I have recently waited 2 hours to get through to BT and 58 minutes on an 0870 number to speak to Sky.

I guess the must be better at cover ups or organising for the truth not to be shown.

All the uk media companies suck.

BT and Sky couldnt care less because 60% of people can not get anything else whether they want to or not.

Re: My opinion on TV down

BT were featured on the same Watchdog, for being difficult to contact and failing to turn up for installs.

Trust me mate I have absolutly nothing to be paranoid about.

If Virgin come to my door I can unplug my dodgy box and put in legit box quicker than you can type your ****ty comment.

No seriously though, nothing dodgy in my house to be paranoid about, I am just stating whats happened in the past.

From what I hear from friends in the US, Scandinavia and Poland maybe you need to amend your statement to "All media companies suck."

Been there, done that. Annoying is not the word I'd use - and I might have picked a different expletive as well! My sympathies, and thank you all for your efforts in getting it back on.
